For 5 Days a fishing rod was glued to my hands!

For 5 days my feet did not touch dry land and for 5 days a fishing rod was glued to my hands! We came up from Victoria with giddy dreams of catching fish bigger than our forearms, and I must say we were far from disappointed. My first fish was a cracking threadfin salmon about 6 kilos with whiskers the size of skipping ropes! 5 days fishing the mini-mini system with all the boys from my family was definitely a trip of a lifetime.

We caught some beautiful barra, threadfin salmon, blue salmon, golden snapper, GT's, queenfish and the usual (as I’m told) hundreds of sharks. I won’t bother mentioning being crowned "The king of catfish alley". Bacon and eggs every morning (1 handed as I needed the other to hold my rod), days full of fish, afternoon beers and mud crabs for entree...It was pretty tough i can tell you! All this was made possible by the crew at Fish Darwin.

Shaun and Ben tended our every need and worked tirelessly to find the best spots to find fish. Ben even proved to be a most accomplished cook (as well as a terrific guide), putting a few egos back in place with his chilli crab. I’m 100% sure I will take a trip with the guys from fish Darwin again; I can’t recommend them and the experience they provide enough. In fact, I’ve already planted the seed with a few mates....just don't tell my wife. Chris Martin Melbourne, Victoria
